This beautiful Victorian-Colonial 1900's writing bureau was purchased by a family friend for her house in East Fremantle in the early 1900's. (request website to view house- was in main bedroom for over 80 years)
The house has been declared by the National Trust and is officially the oldest house in East Fremantle.
I am the second owner..as I acquired it from the estate when the original owner passed away, 21 years ago.
Since the piece has what is known as PROVENANCE (that is proven history)...it adds many dollars to the value..
The desk has a drop down writing flap in perfect condition, 2 drawers-lined with green Baize),
storage racks/shelves, plus the book case above has 2 shelves a total of 3 storage shelves. Under the writing bureau there are a further 2 shelves for storage.
It has 2 pull out rests for the drop down writing flap to rest on, giving stability to the flap. Not only a functional unit but also a beautiful piece of furniture AND a wonderful investment.

The unit can be separated into 2 pieces for easy moving.
